believe in one some don’t believe at all. Regardless Hindus search for Moksha, or salvation, which they see as a release from
Samsara, or the cycle of death and rebirth. Hindus believe when they die they are brought back to life as something or some
one else. The Hindu people have more than one holy text and more than one system of morality. People often find Hindu
beliefs hard to understand, but Hinduism is where you believe in one of the many gods there are to believe in Hinduism who
all in their own way represent Brahman the Supreme being in their eyes.
Lifestyle Norms
Respect is the biggest thing in the Hindu culture. One of the things that people should do to show respect is to sit on the left of elders, stand while they’re standing, you are not allowed to yawn or stretching while and elder is present. Another thing is that you should touch all the feet of someone in a higher power. For example, Someone has to touch the feet of holy men or women to recognize them of their humility, and you must touch the feet of a teacher after each lesson you have with them. The same thing should be done with family members, children must touch the feet of their mother and father at parties or special events.
Experienced Discrimination
On April, 17Th there was a riot where over 300 hundred people arrested in India and out of the 300 hundred people 200 hundred of those people were Hindus. The government in India harasses people that are in any kind Hindu group. Young kids will also get taken out of there home at any tie of the day by police if they are in a Hindu group.
Human Rights Violations
Hindus that don’t live in India have to deal with discrimination, terror, murder, forced conversation, ethnic cleansing, temple destruction and other violent forms. Some Hindu people don’t send their kids to public school, because they are afraid their children will be persecuted and/or ridiculed. Hindus that are exiled from Afghanistan are intensely pressured by the governments of Germany and Britain to return to Afghanistan even though there would still be continued violence and persecution towards them.

Hinduism is the third largest religion, it has about 950 million followers(14% of the world population). Dominant religion in Nepal, India and the Tamils in Sri Lanka. 1.2 million Hindus in the US in 2008.
Impact of the Religion on a Particular Government
The caste system has played a major part in the Indian government. When the British came to India they tried to take them over. India had great resources like spices and other things. The British seperated the Indians in diffrent levels based on there social class. They were grouped on where they are from, how much money they made and there families. This was known as the caste system. People were not allowed to marry out of their caste because it was frowned upon and believed to be wrong. The lower caste were thought to be " untouchable " and unclean. Any one who touched them would be contaminated or " spiritually contaminated ". After independence India changed their law and got rid of the caste system from their constitution. Many Indians still practice this today even though it is illegal. The Indian government got rid of this because they want India to be one and not divided into diffrent parts.
Conflicts that Have Arisen From the Practice of the Religion
Lots of people have been persecuted in many countries around the world. More than 82% of Hinduisms have been targeted by terrorism in India.
